youmatter_logo_smlImagine, a coworker, neighbor or even a stranger walking up to you and handing you a card. They might say something like, “I just wanted to share this with you,” or “I think you need to hear this today,” or they might say nothing, and just hand you the card.

Then imagine looking at the card. It contains just two simple words.

You matter.

This card might have arrived at exactly the moment you need to hear this message. This card might lift your spirits or it might change your life.

Someone gave just such a card to Cheryl Rice. That simple act has led to her starting the You Matter Marathon.

Here is the idea: Cheryl wants 10,000 of these cards given out during the month of November. When you register you will receive a template to print your own “You Matter” cards. If you are among the first 500 to register, you will be sent 30 cards. You can register as an individual or an ambassador – as an ambassador you are supporting the marathon in your organization, your business, a school or through some other group.

All those that are registered will be urged to share how many cards they have given out, and Cheryl’s site YouMatterMarathon.com will show a running total of how many cards have been given out, and when the goal of 10,000 cards will be reached.

This is my kind of marathon – I can be a positive influence, and there is no running required! I have joined as an ambassador and I urge you to join me in this “race” to spread encouragement and support to those around you.

Register (for free) and learn more at YouMatterMarathon.com.
