LONG-DISTANCE WORKLIFE

Solutions for the Virtual Workplace

Goal Setting and Achieving Accountability at a Distance

As leaders, we know that helping your team member achieve goals – and then holding them accountable for their success is part of your job. But more than that, it is critical to everyone’s success. Doing this properly is a challenge in any setting. Leading in a virtual or hybrid environment, and not interacting or seeing your team members (and their work product) everyday, is hard. This session takes the principles of goal setting, goal achievement and accountability and applies them to the unique challenges of doing it all in today’s challenging work environment.

Course Objectives

  • Understand how working remotely impacts goals and accountability
  • How SMART goals address team challenges
  • Create a goal achievement plan
  • Support goal achievement in a remote or hybrid team
  • Apply accountability principles equitably regardless of location
  • Build an action plan

Format

This two-hour webinar workshop is a small group experience – the class size is capped at 15 participants to allow maximum interaction and learning. Participants will learn simple rules, tips, and best practices for maximizing productivity as a remote employee, and how to coach others to be more productive and effective.

This course is available as a standalone program or as part of The Long-Distance Leadership Series.
