Attitude, it is said, is contagious.
That statement is oft-repeated because it is true. Actually there are two truths inside the short statement.
Whatever the attitude is, either positive or negative, it will spread. And, if you aren’t purposefully and intentionally spreading positive, the negative will win.
You already know this. You have dealt with the negative attitudes of others before, and likely, if you are still reading, are dealing with them now. No one wants to work or be around negative people, and yet we all seem to encounter it all the time.
It isn’t just “nice” to have a more positive workplace; a negative environment creates real business problems:
- Negativity creates higher turnover.
- Negativity curtails productivity.
- Negativity reduces Customer responsiveness and service.
That is just a start (but that is enough, isn’t it?)
But it also causes stress, frustration and the drama that gets in the way of almost everything.
Knowing all of this, I wanted to help you – whether a leader or just a member of a team – deal with the negativity, understand the role you might be playing in it, and most importantly, help to change the attitude around you (or at least not be affected by it as much personally).
That’s why I built the teleseminar I am leading on February 18 at 3 pm ET. It’s called How to Overcome the Negative Attitudes of Your Team and Those Around You, and I will deliver on everything I just promised, and more. On top of that, I will answer your questions, live on the call.
You can learn much more and register for this 60 minute teleseminar event here.
If you can’t join me live, don’t be upset (or become negative about it!), you can order a recording that you can listen to whenever and wherever you wish.
If your workplace has any negativity, you will gain value and insight from this event. If the negativity is more common and prevalent, you need this information. It can provide you with tools to change the attitudes and therefore change the results that can be achieved.
I look forward to having you join me.
