DISC personality testingWait just a minute.

Did I just read “pain-free” hiring?

Is that even possible?

If this is the conversation that flashed through your mind as you read the title of this article, you definitely want to read on.

But even if you are a speed reader or didn’t read the title at all; if you have been a leader for very long, you have likely had to hire someone. And if that process has ever produced a less-than-perfect hire, you know there is pain in this process!

In fact, I was doing a bit of coaching with a colleague yesterday and she was lamenting a couple of recent “misses” in the hiring process, and describing her pain. She wanted solutions and answers to make sure her next hires would be solid, that her next hires would be rock stars, that the pain of hiring could go away.

Few business decisions are more important, cost more money, can produce as much joy and success, or frustration and anxiety, as hiring the right person. I could explain and articulate all of the reasons, but you already know that is true.

And, like I told my colleague yesterday, there is art and science to the hiring process. Since we are hiring humans, complex beings full of potential and yet messy and unpredictable, we won’t always get it perfect.

But we can improve our odds drastically.

One of the ways to improve those odds is to use a DISC Assessment to better understand the communication and personality style of candidates and connect that to the needs of the team and the work. There is no one better able to make those connections for you, and reduce the pain in your hiring process that Guy Harris.

Guy is a long time member of our team, a bestselling author, master consultant and coach and a world expert in using DISC Assessments to create better relationships and business results. And he is sharing his wisdom and experience in how to use DISC Assessments to improve your hiring odds in an information-packed, interactive, one-hour teleseminar on October 28th.

Learn all of the details and be sure to register.

If you know you will be hiring in the coming weeks or months, you owe it to yourself and your team to listen to teleseminar and take Guy’s advice. It might be the best investment you make this year.
