This week’s Resource Recommendation – Switch – How to Change Things When Change is Hard By Chip Heath and Dan Heath

This book’s front cover proclaims an important marketing message, “the bestselling authors of Made to Stick“. (I’m guessing you have at least heard of Made to Stick and perhaps read it. If not, I highly recommend it).

SwitchIn their new book, the Heath brothers examine, attack and illuminate the concepts of change. In their informative and fun to read style, they’ll remind you of both change concepts you likely already know and provide insight into things you may not have thought about.

Readers of Made to Stick will recognize their writing style. It’s designed to not only be read and enjoyed but also remembered. Utilizing many of their own lessons the authors provide great ideas, backed by research and examples, and package all of it in a way that is meaningful and memorable.

If you are a leader dealing with change (which every leader is), want to affect change in some group (or yourself), or just want to fundamentally understand change better, I highly recommend this book. I have more notes and ideas written in this book than in any I’ve read in several months.

With this book you will get practical ideas, you will see the world in new ways and you will enjoy the read.

Made to Stick was great, and this might even be better. Until they prove me otherwise, anything by Chip and Dan Heath is a must read.
