I picked this quotation because of the profound truth. I have taught versions of this point for a long time. The applications of this truth are varied – as is implied by the range of questions and actions above. It applies to us personally as we understand how we make decisions (both as an affirmation and a caution), it applies to us as we influence others and guides us to a more effective approach, and it guides us as professional influencers, whether as a leader, salesperson, or more.

Discovery is a powerful tool for understanding, learning, and deciding. The more you can allow yourself and others to value discovery, the more agreement and consensus you will form, and the more completely you will have influenced others.
