  1. Pt.1 – Relationship
I have seen so many people struggle in the relationship change from peer to leader because of character issues that were evident when they were peers, back stabbing the boss or taking a short cut on a project and another person had to make up the difference, etc. Now suddenly when they are the boss they expect that loyal relationship but they have not earned the trust and respect of those who are suppose to be followers now. That is why it is so important to always live with integrity and character, regardless what the job or level.

  2. I actually am not a leader, YET. What I am doing to prepare myself is reading “bud to boss”, I am keeping up with your newsletters and I am subtly changing things about myself. I try to imagine what I would do once my current department if I was the leader. I am working on keeping my work relationships more professional so the transition will be easier for all.
