resistance into acceptanceAs a leader, you are often the face of change. Hopefully, we are leading changes that will improve the results and circumstances in our organizations. And whenever someone introduces change, as sure as the sun will rise tomorrow, resistance will surface.

Yet leaders are often surprised by this resistance. They see the value in the change and can’t understand why others would resist it. Resistance is naturally occurring. It shouldn’t surprise or stress you. When you understand the nature of resistance more fully, you will be more confident and less stressed by the resistance you encounter.

Rather than worrying or stressing about resistance, and rather than trying to suppress it or ignore it, what if we used it to create the change we want?
