One of the legends of personal development is Earl Nightingale. His audio programs are classics, and if you ask successful people if they have listened to them, a large percentage will say that they have – and many will respond enthusiastically. So, when you hear (or in this case read) Earl on an important topic, it is worth paying attention.
Questions to Ponder
– What are you afraid of?
– What information might help you?
– How can you gather that information?
Action Steps
1. Look at your fear.
2. Go gather some data.
3. See if that helps you past your fear.
4. Go for it.
My Thoughts
Think about your life experience. Were you ever afraid of something that later, with the illumination of information, you were less afraid? Chances are that is true. You’ve seen it happen to characters on TV and in the movies, too.
There is really no question that Earl is right. The problem is that we tend to forget the lesson while we are in fear. What are you fearful of today? Consider the question carefully. Follow the questions and steps above and watch most fear melt, and even that which remains will likely be more manageable.
Thank you. That was good to read.
