Below is a popular YouTube video, which shows a leader, taking action (even if it is a kinda goofy action), and through his passion and example, creating followers.  To get the full effect, watch the full video, but at a minimum watch at least past the one minute mark.

Is this guy exhibiting executive leadership skills?  Not in this clip, but I only say that because of the venue and situation.

Would his full-on, passionate, take action approach work for any of us as leaders?

Absolutely.

So watch the video, and challenge yourself show your innovative leadership by emulating this guy.

Lead by doing.

Lead with passion.

These are leadership activities that make a difference.

They make you a Remarkable Leader.

  1. Kevin,
Saw this video once before somewhere, very funny and so true, classic tribe response. It is as you say though, leading by example, if you do something and keep doing it with passion, you will be noticed, and whatever it is you are doing it will probably be adopted. The classic early adopters first and then the masses.

We are strange creatures that don’t like to be left out and love to follow. So with that in mind leadership, or influencing others behavior, is not as difficult to do as one may think. Of course you need the other parts as well, such as an audience and the passion, but as this guy shows when you put those two together you will be followed.

    Thanks for the fun post.
