12.28.15-Article

This time of year there are lots of “best of” lists. And many bloggers actually write a post listing their most popular or most read posts of the year. I’ve decided to do a “list post,” but mine is different. I went back and read what I wrote this year and asked myself which of those messages were most important for leaders to read and apply.

They aren’t in all cases the most read posts (in fact only four of the ten are in the top ten of most read new posts this year), and they might not be the best written of the lot. But I believe they all contain crucial messages for us to understand, internalize and apply.

Maybe you read them all; even so, I encourage you to read them again.

Why? If I was reminded and encouraged by them again and I wrote them; I’m guessing that even if you read them, you don’t remember all of them either!

Here then is my list in chronological order.

  1. What Do You Believe? (January 19, 2015) Knowing the answer to this question as a leader of others is paramount to your ultimate success.
  2. Leadership Insanity (February 2, 2015) You don’t want to be insane do you?
  3. What Leading By Example Really Means (March 2, 2015) Everyone talks about “leading by example”. It’s time to quit talking.
  4. Unlock Conversation With These Seven Question Keys (April 13, 2015) If you really want better conversation in any part of your life, use these questions. [This was the most read new post this year]
  5. Leadership Potential: Make The “Possible” Your “Reality” (May 4, 2015) That is why you are reading right now anyway, isn’t it?
  6. Your Development Belongs to You (June 15, 2015) It really does.
  7. Five Ways to Create Greater Vision (August 17, 2015) Your team is counting on you to provide a vision. The ideas here will help you do this more effectively.
  8. How To Implement Your Game Changing Ideas (September 21, 2015) Ideas aren’t enough, they must be implemented.
  9. What is My Trust Set Point? (November 9, 2015) Trust is the currency of leadership, and your set point matters more than you might realize.
  10. Is Your Attention Polluted? (December 7, 2015) It is, and that pollution is robbing you of results.

I hope these words have reminded you, refocused you, convicted you and inspired you. If so, I’ve met my goal.

Thanks for reading.

I wish you a prosperous and successful 2016 and hope you always remember that you are Remarkable!
