One of the things we do is help organizations design and implement leadership development programs.  We have a variety of tools to help and combine them with customized solutions to create world class leadership skill training from executives to first line supervisors.

One of the biggest challenges we – and you – face isn’t the design of the program or the content delivered.  It is the habits, beliefs, expectations and culture of the leaders in your organization.

While this is a big complex challenge, one that I promise to write more about in the future, let me illuminate part of the solution with a single question.

How much time are you spending on personal and professional development now?

Ask yourself this question and reflect on it across the organization as well.  How do you and would others in the organization answer this question?

The answer will tell you something about the success of your organizational leadership development efforts.

What I’m saying is that the success of your supervisor training and of all leadership skill training at all levels will have as much to do with the expectations you set and the habits you help people form as it does with the “quality” of the content delivered.

Once you recognize that you need to get people to believe in and commit to some new habits, then you can design development processes and tools that will help make that happen.

If you would like help thinking this through, or are looking for tools to use in your leadership development programs, contact us at 317.387.1424.
