Today’s video is in response to a great question that we received:

When your organization isn’t taking the initiative on your leadership development, what can you do?

Check out the video for some great ideas and resources to help with this common leadership issue.

Tweet it out: Ultimately, your development as a leader belongs to you, not your organization. Take that responsibility. via @KevinEikenberry

  1. I have heard the phrase “leading from the bottom up” that reminds me of your video message today: you are responsible for your own leadership and contributing to or supporting skills of those around you – not only those in the organization you may supervise, but those in positions above you, also. Thanks.

  2. Definitely some great and relevant info. A bitter pill indeed perhaps, but I would agree it ultimately rests with the individual. Felt a bit sorry for the questioner during this video as it seemed to be tad harsh; it must be that much harder in a non-supportive organization.
