Values are about more than what is on your company letterhead or on the plaque on the wall. As leaders, our values are the ones that we DO, what we practice and put into action every day. Check out the video below to hear more about how to get intentional and real with your company values.

Tweet it out: Your company values on the wall are only real if the actions in the organization match those words. @KevinEikenberry

  1. Thanks for your comments about values only being meaningful if they are put into action.
You recently spoke about Toastmasters. I think their four core values can be helpful in our daily lives. In fact, I recently gave a speech about that! I use the word “RISE” in order to remember the four values:
Respect – includes first paying attention to, then listening to, other people
Integrity – when you do something because it’s right and not because of how it will benefit you
Service – acting to meet the needs of others and not just your own
Excellence – a journey to become better today than you were yesterday (meaning you will never “arrive”)
