By Laura Stack
There are lots of books on time management – probably at least a couple are on your shelf. All of them contain useful information, and most of it, even if you have heard it before will really work in the real world if you actually try it!
Productivity expert Laura Stack’s newest book takes time management and focuses, as the title says, on one specific piece of the challenge we face – there is just too much to do!
While we talk about managing our time (which Ms. Stack states that we can’t, and she’s right), what we must really do, as I have often written, is manage our choices.
This book helps you with this idea.
The book is written in a clear and fast-reading manner, has helpful chapter summaries and key ideas summarized throughout the book. The book is written from an employee perspective, which makes it a great read for people throughout the organization.
Because the book’s focus is broad, the language and examples might not always be a perfect fit for leaders and business owners, but the content still applies.
Overall this book is like others in its genre. It will help you if you apply what it suggests. Specifically this book does a great job of focusing on reducing and prioritizing the tasks, rather than just trying to do more of them.
If you are looking for help with the reduction of tasks as a way to become more effective and productive, this book will give you ideas and approaches to make that happen.
