The world lost a great statesman, visionary, leader, and human being yesterday. The work and legacy of Nelson Mandela will be in full view of the world for the rest of history. It is only fitting that I share a quotation from this great man today, about two topics near to my heart, and I’m guessing yours too.
Questions to Ponder
– What do you want to change in the world around you?
– What do I need to learn before I can affect that change?
– How can education help make that happen?
Action Steps
1. Pick your change.
2. Decide what to learn.
3. Decide what to teach others.
4 . Get started.
My Thoughts
The change you want to affect may not be as big or as broad as Mandela’s. Whether it is or not, don’t lose sight of the importance of his point. After all, he had a bit of success with change. . . Regardless of the size or scope of the change, education, enlightenment, and perspective is needed by all parties involved, starting with yourself. Make it your goal today to learn something yourself that will move you down the path towards change. Not only is that the best step for yourself, but it sets the example for those around you.
