This weeks resource recommendation is Stop Workplace Drama: Train Your Team to Have No Complaints, No Excuses and No Regrets By Marlene Chism
Everyone I’ve mentioned this title to, loves it!
I mean who wants all the drama?
Like many catch phrases and cliché’s, not everyone has the same definition of drama. Chism defines drama rather globally as: “any obstacle to your peace and prosperity.”
While I was interested in the book’s title and have talked to the author on the phone, I didn’t really know what to expect. What I found was a book with an eight-step process for stopping workplace drama. Each step is described in each chapter.
My favorite chapters were on Stopping relationship drama, Mastering your energy and Releasing Resistance. While all the chapters are highly readable, these three seemed the most relevant to the issues I hear from client and workshop participants. Plus, through the book you feel the voice of the author like a wise friend.
I found the book to be interesting and useful. If the title appeals to you, I would guess the book will too. Any leader – and any person – could benefit from its smart ideas and strategies. If you lead, this book will give you solid ideas for enhancing and improving productivity and morale.
