My Dad used to say that the only concrete that isn’t cracked is still in the bag. Concrete is everywhere, and a good bit of it has cracks.
The corollary for communication is that where ever there is communication, there are barriers.
Every organization I’ve worked with over the last 20+ years has talked about wanting better communication – between groups, across distances, in the next cubicle, with or from senior management, you name it!
My Dad might have said, communication is all fine, until we actually start communicating!
I write about communication here a lot. I do that because as leaders (and human beings) we are always communicating. I write about communication because it is important, and I write about it because it is hard.
And those are the same reasons my colleague and co-author Guy Harris created a teleseminar titled, Breaking Down the Communication Barrier: Learn principles & strategies to breakdown communication barriers, overcome resistance and resolve conflict!
The title offers a big promise, and in 60 minutes you will get a fistful of ideas that you can apply in the real world to bust, break or eliminate barriers that are keeping you from being a better communicator.
When Guy talked about this power-packed 60 minutes he said, “In this teleseminar, I will reveal the principles and strategies that you need to open up communication, break down the barriers and improve your work environment.”
Personally while all of that is good, Guy also mentioned the real benefit you will get from clearer communication.
He said, “With clear communication, you’ll eliminate negative attitudes, improve relationships, increase job satisfaction and measurably impact productivity. Because when people are free from conflict and confusion, they can focus on what’s really important.”
Since I know you communicate, I know you sometimes encounter barriers. If you want to reduce them and gain the benefits Guy describes, I encourage you to join him on Thursday September 5th at 1:30 pm ET.
One registration covers you and as many as you can put on one phone line – maybe all the people who, like you, are frustrated by challenging communication barriers.
