So I am counting down to Christmas, helping all the leaders who read this by giving them short daily tasks that when done are translated into gifts for them and those they lead. All the details came on on 12/12/12 – here is that background and a list of the previously posted tasks/gifts.
I’ve tried so far to connect the day’s task/gift to the 12 Days of Christmas song – since I don’t have a close linkage between 8 maids a milking and thinking about our Customers, I’ll do the best I can!
Actually, I grew up on a farm, and while we didn’t milk cows, my Dad grew up on a dairy farm (and I milked a few over the years myself). And the first lessons I learned about taking care of Customers, I learned from my Dad.
There’s my connection… I’ll try to do better tomorrow.
And here’s are you questions for the day . . .
How would our business results be different if we were able to delight more Customers?
What can I do as a leader to help us delight more Customers?
What barriers do I present to this worthy goal (intentional or otherwise)?
How can I help my team think about Customers, internal and external, from the perspective of delight or “Wow!” and not just simple satisfaction?
The gifts that can come for clear answers and actions on these questions are huge.
So get started.
I’ll be back tomorrow with your next gift.
